Draft of a B2B EMEA strategic plan for Virtual worlds

But I have focused my proposal only on B2B Second life Approach
If you are interested I can propose to you a new document including my approach concerning Emergencing European Countries and Media Mass markets ideas.



The goal is to develope SECOND LIFE in the europeans territories, and for that to put in place Marketing tools to achieve our work.
If the Mass market is important the companies will be present in SECOND LIFE















1 - Today we could consider two kind of European territories :

- old countries including :

France, UK, Germany, Italia, Spain, Switherland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherland, Danemark, Sweden, Norvegia, Austria, Grece


- Emerging countries including :

Baltic countries, Finland, Slovenia, Hungry, Tchequy, Ukraine, Bielorus, Poland, Roumania, Bulgaria.


The strategy about Old countries and Emerging countries, will be not the same.








2 – We can see also two different markets :


- Entreprise market : B2B;
- End user Market : B2C.

Our stragety will be totally different, for each market.



First we will work on the Old countries, concerning B2B Markets.





















OLD EUROPEAN COUNTRIES / B2B MARKETS.


To approach this market we need to contact great firms, very known, as trademarks.


By exemple in France as Trademarks :

TOTAL, LVMH, CARTIER, ACCOR, LACOSTE, RENAULT, AIRBUS, SNCF, BANKS
And artists…

We have to contact potential partners as :

TV:BROADCAST, TELCOS OPERATORS, CONTENTS EDITOR, GAMES EDITORS, WEB AGENCIES,

We have to contact Institutionnal partners as :

MUSEUM, UNIVERSITY, RECHEAR CENTERS, TOWN
POLITICS


And we must propose to them specific and personnalisable Plan to promote SECOND LIFE.

By exemple :

OFFER to AIRBUS to do TECHNICAL SIMULATIONS on SECOND LIFE UNIVERS.

OFFER to SORBONNE UNIVERSITY to put in place a elearning plan on SECOND LIFE.

And SECOND LIFE will take the customer hands to follow the project.

















HOW TO DO THAT ?

First of all, we have to realize :

Our FILES:Data Base. Our European Call center.

Database

In every countries we will collect the name, address, phone, etc. of the 1000 first great companies.
And also the details of the Potential partners, and institutionnal partners. (100 ?).

Call center

The call center team will be composed of 5 employee/freelance?, these persons will be trained before the Work during 1 day.
They will qualify the potentials prospects, I hope to get around 3% of positive answers during the first month per countrie.

They will invite the companies at our “EUROPEAN SECOND LIFE OPEN DAY”.

Open days

The goal of this OPEN DAY will be to explain to the prospect the advantages of SECOND LIFE as a work tools,
The prospect will have demos, and also workshops will be available to work during a short time on the first approach of a specifics project.
Some of existing clients references will be present to show to the potential prospects their exiting work with SECOND LIFE;

By exemple :

How to include an ARTIST PROJECT in a virtual town.
How to put in place a VIDEO CONFERENCING reseller in a shop with a LIVE DEMO of a REAL MEETING;







The European experience show us this is very important to take the hand of the companies to use this kind of tolls as SECOND LIFE METAVERSE;
If SECOND LIFE don’t help and collabore with the companies, the project will be not finish.
That’s means SECOND LIFE have to put in place a “technical support team” to manage these projects.

These projects will be the European SECOND LIFE References




PROJECTS FOLLOW UP / SERVICES

The follow up of the project is assure by the “European support team”
And this “European team support” could do Training for users.

The projects in progress will give us contents to do our “European newsletter” and also it will be a base for our global PR;

Advertising could be proposed to the companies


PARTICIPATIVE GAMES

European games producers will be for us good partners to put in place on SECOND LIFE participative games.

By exemple : UBISOFT could put in place a new games MMO;


LOCALIZATION of the sw.

In some areas this is important to traduce the documents and text to approach this countries.

I propose in the first time : SPANISH, GERMAN, ITALIAN, FRENCH.

This is key of the success. 50% plus













UNIVERSITY PLAN

We have to put in place our “EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY PLAN”.

This is a collect of all the projects who has been done by prestigious university or institutions:

as OXFORD, CAMBRIDGE, SORBONNE, VILLA MEDICIS,

Every year SECOND LIFE will edit a very nice book with the best projects who has been appear on the SECOND LIFE universe. By exemple around 500 University projects.

This book will be available on our web site, or from our partner web site, and perhaps others channels.






SECOND LIFE AGREEMENT

A specific agreement could be deliver to the companies in charge of the production of services around SECOND LIFE metaverse.

That’s means that this company can proof that they are able to realize specifics environment for SECOND LIFE USERS,
A certain numbers of conditions are to put in place to get this agreement



European Second Life UsersTraining

This service could generate substancial incomes.

We could invite a REFERENCE PERSON involve in the activity we are going to teach in a kind of “high level workshop”.
This will be the way to capture companies in this sector to follow the “special training” we will do.

By exemple :

- DESIGN/PHILIPPE STARK/subject : how to use SECOND LIFE for the design markets and industrial markets.
- FASHION/GUCCI/ subject : how to use SECOND LIFE for the Fashions markets.
